Insight to Impact is a program of what we call Adventures. Every six weeks we hold a live interactive webinar with one of the world’s leading business thinkers, then arm you with actionable tools and a cross-industry peer group, enabled by a state-of-the-art learning platform … to help you transform insight to impact.
With the arrival of Covid 19, businesses around the world are experiencing unexpected and unforeseen challenges. The management paradigms influencing our thinking have been upended. Suddenly digital transformation and organizational flexibility have become the urgent topics of our time. Only a very few companies have demonstrated the ability to shift quickly and thrive in the face of unexpected change. Netflix, one of the most successful companies of our time, is one of those companies.
In this talk, New York Times best-selling author and international culture guru Erin Meyer, explores a counter-intuitive set of principles for how to build an organizational culture for today’s fast-changing age based on extensive research conducted with Netflix CEO Reed Hastings (and detailed in their new award-winning book No Rules Rules). Whether it’s Freedom and Responsibility, Radical Honesty, or The Keeper Test, in this speech Meyer lays out a three-step method for giving your employees increasing levels of freedom in order to build a corporate culture that breeds flexibility and innovation across the organization.
Additional speakers: Helen Bevan, NHS; Jos de Blok, Buurtzorg; Bill Fischer, IMD; and Kevin Nolan, GE Appliances.
Additional on-demand content by Roger Martin, Alessandro Di Fiore, Kara Goldin, Kriti Jain, Leon Prieto and Simone Phipps, and Naomi Simson.
From our communities we attracted some of the world’s leading business thinkers – people like Dan Pink, Renée Mauborgne, Rita McGrath, and Paul Krugman.
People loved the events! We attracted more than 5,000 participants from around the world. Even better, along the way the events raised more than $160,000 for non-profits fighting to alleviate the impact of the pandemic.
So, we asked participants what they would like to happen next.
They don’t simply want more webinars, they want the tools and support to implement what they learn in their companies, organizations, communities, and lives.
Over the six weeks of an Adventure, participants engage with a cohort of peers, apply practical tools, and access a collaboration platform to track progress and ensure insights leap into practice. Participant commitment*:

Each thought leader we choose to work with brings unique insight into one or several of the six key competencies required by the leaders of the future. To make an impact on today’s digital, accelerated, post-Covid world, you must:
It’s all about options. There isn’t one way, there are many ways. Tomorrow's leaders will need to anticipate the unknown and design business models, products, and services understanding that choice is a necessity.
Change is the norm. The plan is the plan until there is a new plan. Your True North and Vision may remain the same, but the journey will certainly not. Leaders will have to have the confidence and capability to change course. Pattern recognition and decisiveness is required.
It will be a leadership imperative to lead through ambiguity; to help others understand decisions, actions, tradeoffs and changes. The complex strategies will not automatically create loyalty. Celebrating little victories will bring others along with clarity, support and trust.
The more a leader is innately curious to listen and learn the better. The more they rely on others to think differently yields greater success. Surround yourself by diversity in all its sense- and absorb the unfamiliar to yield innovation, growth and pure genius.
Ignite enthusiasm in others. Truly bring out the collective purpose and the individual why. Be intentional in words, actions, and decisions. Have the courage to be authentic and transparent. Give to others freely with trust in good to yields results. Believe with passion.
Aware leaders take stock in pausing, listening, reflecting and embracing the quiet. Have patience to allow for the uncomfortable pause that empowers others. Admit the unknown. Appreciate the complexity and vulnerability of work and life integration.
